Will 2022 be the year I actually keep my New Year’s Resolutions? Historically, I have never been strict with myself when it comes to fulfilling my new year’s resolutions, but I think this year will be different.
My Goals for 2022
Below are my 2022 resolutions for the Kirk Ray Music Project.
- Release the follow up album to Born Bad.
- Make a decent music video.
- Start a music production blog for music gear reviews and other musician focused content.
- Start a YouTube channel that focuses on content for musicians.
- Record some acoustic video performances for the “Kirk Ray Music” YouTube channel.
- Complete the mixing and mastering of my old songs in the Kirk Ray Music archive.
- Record and release a new live acoustic album for the Kirk Ray Bandcamp page.
Will I Achieve My Goals?
In previous years, I didn’t have much motivation to achieve my music goals, but I think this year will be different because this is the year that I have the mindset to make these goals happen.
Most of my above listed goals are related to music marketing, and I do not have any experience in this area. As such, I will be starting from scratch with the promotion of the “Born Bad” album. However, you have to start somewhere, and I am at ground zero.
Born Bad and its Place in Music
In order to market music, you need to know where it fits, and I suspect the “Born Bad” album will perform best inside Classic Rock playlists. The Countdown to 2023
The countdown to 2023 has begun, and this means it’s time to get to work on my goals.
